What can one do in 15 mins a day?
Well if you live a sedentary lifestyle a 15 minute brisk walk will improve your health. If you want to learn a new language 15 minutes a day will make an incredible difference.
If you just want to be more aware of what is going on in the world, spend 15 minutes looking at World news.
If you want to make difference to your spiritual life, spend 15 minutes a day reading a Bible.
A few years ago, for my church, I split the Bible into slots of no more than 15 minutes, so we could read the whole Bible out loud. Initially we were just going to read non-stop for 15 minutes, and have the next person take over from wherever the last person finished, but then we weren't sure when we would finish.
So, I divided the reading by chapters, so that each person would read for no more than 15 minutes (except possibly the person who read Psalm 118!).Interestingly it turned out to require less than 365 slots, so in less than a year, for less than 15 minutes a day, you can read the whole Bible, from cover to cover. It only takes 355 sessions, and session 355 is just the very last chapter!
Having 10 'spare' days is really useful especially as today is Jan 2, and I haven't started yet!
